Hi all –
We need your help! Are you an experienced fire artist? Do you care about not burning the woods down? If yes, we need your help to bring fire art to Firefly!
You will be responsible for reviewing art grants that include fire. You will represent Safety and determine whether a design and burn plan are sufficient and safe. You will provide feedback to artists on the safety of their plans and provide guidance to the Art Grant team about what we should fund. As Art Cluster Lead Dennis Zografos put it, "Art Grants fund awesome, potentially dangerous stuff and Safety tells us where we should draw the line".
Right now, we are looking for someone to review art grants. If you're interested in taking a leadership role in onsite inspections etc. please reach out, but this particular task is pretty constrained.
There are several rounds of art grants (last submission date is in late March). You would be responsible for reviewing some subset of these grants on behalf of Safety.
HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?
If you're interested, please e-mail safety(a)fireflyartscollective.org <mailto:email@example.com>
We're looking for someone ASAP, but if you're reading this post a month from now, there are still art grants and we still want your help!
Thanks in advance for your participation!
