Round 2 of Firefly 2023 Creativity Grant Submissions Are Now Open!
Did you miss your chance to submit a proposal for Creativity Grants last month? You have another chance!
Over the years, the Firefly Arts Collective (FAC) has been proud to provide grant support to Firefly artists to enable them to express and fulfill their varied creative visions. These grants are intended to support and promote radically-expressive, community-based, interactive and/or collaborative projects that help define and shape the creative core of the event.
Art is a central part of Firefly, and the event wouldn't be the same without the wonderful pieces that have been brought to Vermont over the years. Bringing art is a great way to add a piece of yourself to the event and contribute/participate in a meaningful way.
We are now accepting applications for our primary grant category, the Creativity Grant! This grant is intended for all your ideas for new art - everything from traditional art like sculpture, to immersive spaces, to silly little games. For more details, _check out the grant page here_ <https://www.fireflyartscollective.org/participate/art-at-firefly/art-grants…>: (_https://www.fireflyartscollective.org/participate/art-at-firefly/art-grant…)
Creativity Grants are available in tiers from $150 to $1000. Please indicate which tier you are applying for in your grant application (you may apply for multiple tiers!).

*Seeking OODs! Priority application deadline 3/17*
Do you enjoy being a responsible adult?
If you have professional or volunteer experience as an emergency responder and want to know everything wacky that goes on behind the scenes for one full day of Firefly, OOD is the volunteer role for you!
As OOD, you will be tasked with working with the Board Member On Call to solve any problems that happen on your shift. You will be asked to use your professional judgment to develop and execute solutions to many different problems, including the occasional emergency.
*To be considered as an OOD for Firefly 2023, please fill out the OOD volunteer application <https://safety.fireflyartscollective.org/firefly-safety/ood_application.html> before March 17.*
All applications received before 23:59 on March 17 will receive equal consideration!
All OODs should be available to attend a full day training in Bethel, VT on 4/29. The training is designed to be highly practical and to prepare OOD and Board on Call volunteers to work together on shift at Firefly!
Oryx will follow up with applicants via email over the week following March 17 to arrange a short phone interview. This phone call is the final step in the OOD application process.
Everyone who applies by March 20 will be notified about whether they have been selected for a shift before March 31. Candidates are still encouraged to apply after March 20 and will be considered on a rolling basis until all shifts are filled.
Thanks, and see you in the woods!!
This announcement can also be found at https://www.safety.fireflyartscollective.org/firefly-safety/2023/03/ood_app….
Contact OOD Lead Oryx at oryx(a)fireflyartscollective.org if you have questions or for more details.
Hello, Fireflies! The Firefly Arts Collective Conduct Committee is calling

out this form: https://airtable.com/shrCg5w6tGggoiSB1 by the end of the day
on Sat, March 25th.
The form includes a lot of questions that should help illustrate what the
