Asks & Offers
Keep in Touch
Heya! We are your Firefly Ranger Co-Leads asking for your help to train & sign up for Ranger shifts—especially later in the Event this year. Rangering is lots of fun. You get to walk around the event mostly doing nothing (in a useful way tho!), yet sometimes you get a chance to really help people in meaningful & impactful ways.
Please consider taking one of the next seven Ranger trainings being offered (four basic, and three Khaki.) Five trainings are over Zoom before the event, and two are in-person at the event itself.
Sign up here for Ranger training!
Curious about what we do? You can look at the Firefly Ranger wiki. It reads complicated but it’s not. We make sure you’re well-trained in advance with real skills you can use across your whole life—and at Firefly.
Please train & take Ranger shifts. We need our Ranger core to reflect the entire community—you!!
Choose a training: Basic if you’re new, Khaki if you are ready to take shift lead. Thx!!
Any questions, please contact: rangers@fireflycollective.org.

Hello Fireflies and happy Monday, this is Stage Core speaking!
This year, as all years, we are having an Open Stage, which means anyone, whoever you may be, can sign up to perform any wacky, wonderful, whimsical, or wonky performance you would like. All you have to do is fill out the Open Stage submission form with your act name, preferred performance time and day, and email so we can send you updates. This form will CLOSE June 30, but don’t wait! The sooner you fill it out, the more likely you are to get your preferred slot. Any sign-ups after June 30 will not be printed on the lineup, HOWEVER you can write-in a last minute act for empty slots if you change your mind, as we will hang a big printed line-up near the stage.
This is an OPEN stage, so share this with your friends, anybody can perform, even if they are not of this world!!! Can’t wait to see what magical and crazy performances you guys come up with!
Email us with any questions: stage@fireflycollective.org.

This is a friendly reminder that applications to the DMV for art carts will be closing June 25! The DMV cluster is specifically responsible for motorized vehicles which are operated as art pieces. If you intend to bring an art cart to Firefly this year, even if you think DMV knows about it, please submit FIREFLY 2025 ART CART APPLICATION by 6/25 to be permitted to run it at the event. Motorized vehicles with a functional role need not apply via this form – only those whose role at the event is purely decoration and fun.
Contact DMV lead Gwen at gwen@fireflyartscollective.org if you have questions.
Hi Fireflies! Some of you may have already noticed this, but event submission for this year is in fact open! We received a lot of positive feedback on the dust app last year, so this year we’re using the dust web interface for event submissions! Follow this link to submit WWW events.
All events will appear on the Google Calendar and the WWW Web App at events.fireflyartscollective.org – no need to use dust to view events, only to submit them.
There will also be a printer-friendly version available.
Please try to submit events before Friday, June 27 at noon so that we can prepare the printer-friendly version (and hopefully signage at the event). Events submitted after that deadline will still be visible on dust, and we will do our best to add them to the web app and calendar as well, but it’d be convenient if you could get them done before then.
A: Nope! The exception is for events hosted at the Open Stage and events hosted at the Bug, which should be submitted to both dust and the separate sign-up sheets that will be made available for those venues. There will be future announcements specifically regarding events at those locations. For other events, please use the dust form linked above!
A: Please do! In particular, if you would like events to be attached to your camp on the dust app, your camp needs to be registered there! However, unlike events, dust is not the official registration form for these things. Hopefully you have already registered your camp and art for placement, as the deadline for that was June 9! Separately, you can also list your theme camp to be displayed on the main Firefly site. And don’t forget to register your Art Cart with the DMV.
A: If your event isn’t at a camp, go for it! If your event is at a camp, check with the camp lead! Only camp leads and dust admins can officially associate an event with a link to their camp on dust, so it’s helpful for camp leads to submit events held at their camp when possible. However, the Communications team can change the location of events upon request, so if it’s necessary or helpful for a non-lead to register the event on dust, just put the camp name in and we can make the link official on our end.
Got any other questions? Drop us a line at communications@fireflyartscollective.org. We’re excited to see what fabulous events you all put on in the woods!
In each GLOWBE we will have a section for ride swaps, equipment swaps, theme camp connections, and personals.
We'll be posting OFFERs and NEEDs in each week's GLOWBE. By having this all in one place, it will be easy to scan and find the perfect match.
