This weekend, and active songbird's nest was found on Verdant Path; literally *in* the path!  As with years past: we're required to create a 50-foot perimeter around the nest and avoid traffic within this perimeter. This means Verdant near Meat Camp is closed to pedestrian, Polaris, and vehicle traffic, and the perimeter around the birds’ nest is closed to camping, art, and other human activities. (The closed area is marked with an orange fence and caution tape)

Two camps are primarily affected, were immediately put in touch with Placement Core and, with the help of a friendly chainsaw, we have been working to re-place these camps with the help of some wonderful neighbors. 

If you were planning on using the closed section of Verdant to bring gear or campmates in and out of the woods, make sure to take the time now to make new plans for how you will reroute your traffic or new means of hauling gear and art in and out.

This is a nice reminder that we are guests in the woods, and a lot of critters still call this place their home. Like any good guests, part of our job is to make sure we disturb our surroundings as little as possible and keep safe the woods' residents. <3
