1)  No Firefly for you this year?  Refund yer ticket!

There are currently about 100 people on the waiting list. . .if you've realized you're not going to make it to Firefly this year, please refund your ticket ASAP so somebody else has more time to plan!
(Log in to tickets.fireflyartscollective.org, and under the Ticketing Sales tab there's a "Request Refund" button at the top.)
Ticket Core expects to be sending out ticket offers until very close to the event, and clearing the waitlist is still possible.  Questions?  tickets@fireflyartscollective.org

2)  DPW Work Weekends want YOU - we need your help.

It's time to get dirty and make the event functional!  Work Weekends are your chance to come up to the site early and help the Department of Public Works build all the things.  We need volunteers for many jobs on June 17-18, and 24-25.  Get the scoop and sign up here:
https://www.fireflyartscollective.org/firefly/getting-ready/work-weekends/
BYO tools or experience is helpful - but not required!  Contact dpw@fireflyartscollective.org with inquiries about what to bring.

3)  Planning your ride to Firefly - how will you get to the woods?

There are chartered buses to Firefly from the Boston area!

Buy your bus ticket today. Refunds are available until June 19 if plans change.

Drivers: a parking pass purchased in advance is required for every car, get yours now.

The more people carpool, the more event tickets we can release.

Carpool signups, bus and vehicle info here:

https://www.fireflyartscollective.org/firefly/getting-ready/getting-there-transportation-and-parking/

4)  Early Arrival:

The 2017 Firefly Arts Festival opens at noon on Tuesday 4 July.  If you have large projects and camp infrastructure to set up, you may apply for Early Arrival access starting at noon on Monday 3 July.  Apply here! https://goo.gl/LnxH7D
Email early@fireflyartscollective.org with questions.

5)  Calling all Fire Artists:

If you have fire art you must contact Fire Core/FAST (fast@fireflyartscollective.org) and send a detailed safety plan, placement, and documentation before the event.

Flame effects and any burnable art are considered fire art for this purpose. While fire spinning is also a form of fire art it does not need anything sent in prior to the event. If you wish to spin in the Conclave, that is organized in meetings at Firefly.

6)  What Where When events guide - now open for submissions!

The 'What Where When' events guide is an online schedule of events at Firefly 2017.  Event listings are submitted and updated directly by participants, it's easy.  WWW lives online only, so you'll want to print your own copies to bring to the woods (and some extras to share).

Thanks to Cabana Hammock for creating this project as a gift to the community.

7)  The ice must flow.  Help ICEHOLE help you!

Nothing is sold at Firefly, so how can coolers be kept cold?  The ICEHOLE project brings ice to Firefly with your support.  How?

1) Contribute! ICEHOLE only works with your dollar$ and volunteer shifts.

2) Pickup ice at the event, available most days.

3) Profit.

Get your chill on:  https://www.fireflyartscollective.org/news/icehole2017/

8)  Open Stage wants to host your events - and has new features!

The Stage will be seeing some major improvements this year, including rain shelter for both performers and the audience, a sound system, lighting, and art beautification. So get excited—and spread the word! We want it to be used well and often!

Info and scheduling:  https://www.fireflyartscollective.org/participate/art-at-firefly/open-stage/

9)  Theme camps, add your camp to our website!
Form is here: https://www.fireflyartscollective.org/participate/theme-camps/theme-camp-listing-request/
You can list who you are and what you do even if you're not officially placed, but tell people how to find you!  Short blurb of 140-400 characters and a picture, please!
(This is a separate thing from Placement... to be placed as a Theme Camp you work with placement@fireflyartscollective.org .)

10)  Sanctuary soothes participants in need.
A few volunteer shifts are still available with Sanctuary, if you’ve had a safety training before your shift.  Luckily there are two trainings coming up - one this Thursday June 15 in Somerville, and one on site at Firefly.  Non-volunteers welcome too.  Check it out:  https://www.fireflyartscollective.org/participate/join-a-core/sanctuary/
For questions, or to be added to our mailing list:  sanctuary@fireflyartscollective.org
