Good morning everyone!

There are still openings for Safety Third Getaway Weekend on May 16-18 in Scarborough, Maine.

What is Safety Third Weekend Getaway you ask?

It is a training/social weekend for Firefly Medical, Rangers, Sanctuary and FAST (Fire Art Safety Team) volunteers. TJ Kozma, Deanna Duffey and Rhonda Forester will be hosting this first ever event for Firefly volunteers.

The weekend is jam packed with goodness! A formal training for your department of choice, cross-trainings with the other Safety Departments and more all on Saturday so that those with limited time may attend.

Arrive anytime after 5pm on Friday or before training starts on Saturday at 9am. Training on Saturday goes til 5pm.

Then social time and bonfire- get to know members of all Safety Departments.

Sunday will be more informal with a brunch and discussions on how Firefly is changing and how we can work together to keep our event and participants safe.

Its going to be an awesome opportunity to get involved, get trained and meet other Safety department Leads and volunteers.

There will be a small fee to attend of $20 this will go towards food for the weekend. Bring your own drinks.

The location will be at our house in Scarborough, Maine. 15 minutes south of Portland easily accessible by bus and train from Boston. We have plenty of inside meeting/sleeping space in the barn, carriage house and house if needed. Should be nice enough to be outside though. Plenty of yard and forest space for camping and meeting. Bring yer tent!

Full Disclosure- This is not a party weekend. It is a weekend to learn, relax and socialize with fellow Safety Department volunteers.
