Hello dear Fireflies!
Firefly is looking for new core leads to help ensure that we all get into the woods successfully, and then enjoy our time there when the mud settles.
Core leads work with 2 other co-leads to manage responsibilities before, during and after the event. Since the responsibility is shared with 2 other people, the individual amount of work is minimal! People are able to run camps, make art, have fun AND be a core lead all at the same time!
LNT
2 people
Help make LNT signage, set up Lost & Found, stay for late crew clean up, direct volunteers to sweep areas after event
1 person
Help with the process of placing camps/art and recording site information for the official maps
1 person
Buy coffee, drink coffee, load kitchen gear on to art truck, set up kitchen, tear down kitchen
Transport
1-2 people
TransCore Admin: Back-end office work before the event to sell bus tickets, put together passenger roster, get contracts with freight truck and bus organized
Volunteer Coordination:
Coordinate gate, greeter and truck driver volunteers, obtain moop bags, get/secure gate wristbands, make sure freight loading/unloading happens appropriately
Sanctuary
3 people
Personnel Co-Lead– Recruiting, Tracking, Scheduling Volunteers
Facility Co-Lead– Budget, Event Materials, Logistics, Set Up / Tear Down
Training Co-Lead– Training materials and events
It's necessary that you have previous Sanctuary experience to fill these roles. Ask for more info if you're interested.
Greeters
1 person
Set up greeter tent, give snacks to greeters, be available to greeter volunteers, take down greeter tent
Stage
1 or 2 people
A totally chill core with minimal responsibilities. Bring people together to perform on the stage, put together a line up, publicize! Sound system has already been volunteered!
Bonus
Want to make new kiosks for the Firefly maps? We also need help with that!
