1)  Ticket Lottery Happening NOW

** The window to register for Firefly ticket offers is still open, get in by April 15th **

Remind your flakiest spouse or campmate to register for their ticket like, RIGHT MEOW.  

Simpler this year - now there’s NO postal mail required.  All else is the same as previous years:

-  2 week registration window (tick tock)

-  must be registered by April 15th to be in the lottery

* Transport — Help get people to Firefly on the bus!  

* Signage — Make signs! Make sure signs are set up/removed in the woods! Build map kiosks!  

* Facilities for Sanctuary — Budget, event materials and logistics, set up/tear down

What-ho; a Fryerfly gathering before ye woods?  After a long day at Somerville Open Studios, come meet Firefly core leads and hear about all the volunteer possibilities.  Learn what the heck a Gnome is. Ask real humans weird questions over beer. Newbs and veterans alike always learn a thing, or at least, we shmooze and conspire.  

There will be a buffet of appetizers and a cash bar!

5)  Sign up for SFTY 3rd Training Weekend, May 11-13

Ever wondered how to help in an emergency?  Got a weekend free in May? Come to SFTY3rd May 11-13 in beautiful Scarborough, Maine.  If you volunteer for a Firefly Core you are eligible to attend our 5th annual training event.  SFTY3rd is also a great chance to take trainings required for Sanctuary and Rangers, along with more general skills in a fun retreat setting.

6)  Friendly + Helpful + Radio = ?

Do you want to be a friendly, helpful face of Firefly?  
Do you give a shit AND want a radio?  

You'd be a perfect Ranger!  

Rangers are not the fun police. We are information spreaders, time tellers, and helpers. On the rare occasion, we are mediators.  

Do you like walking around the event and seeing all that's happening? You'd make a great Dirt Ranger, the main component of the Ranger Core. Not happy with hills? Our Echelon stays at HQ and provides support to Dirt.  All that we require is that you've been to Firefly before! (Exceptions made on a case by case basis.)

7)  Sanctuary Seeks Caring Souls  

Are you the friend people come to when they need someone to talk to?  Are you filled with empathy and compassion for your fellow humans? Wondering how you can use those awesome skills to contribute to Firefly?  Sanctuary is a safe calm space where Fireflies who need a shoulder to lean on can get the support they need to get glowing again. We’re looking for volunteers for support or on-call shifts in Sanctuary.  We provide training - there are 3 upcoming opportunities to choose from.
