Verify Your Vaccination with SMART Health Cards

We’re happy to introduce a way of verifying your vaccination status before getting to Gate! You can do this by visiting the Ticketing and Volunteering Portal and uploading your SMART Health Card in the new “COVID-19 Safety Requirements” section. The process should take under 5 minutes and will save time verifying your status at Gate. Find the link directly on your Ticketing dashboard:

If you don’t upload your SMART Health Card: Please bring physical proof of vaccination to Gate, either your original card or a photocopy. Using a copy on your phone will complicate & slow down Gate operations, as well as forcing you to unlock your phone and hand it over to the Security team while you sit in your car.

Unvaccinated participants: You must bring a physical copy of a negative COVID PCR test taken less than 72 hours prior to your arrival, as well as enough rapid tests for daily testing. This requirement is unchanged. Again, if you only have a copy on your phone, you will need to unlock your phone and hand it over to the Security team while you sit in your car.

Ticket Refunds! Help Clear the Waitlist!

Not going to Firefly? Refund your ticket so someone else can! 

Firefly is sold out, and there are currently 82 hopeful Fireflies on the waitlist! If you know you can't make it, please return your ticket--for a refund--so other folks can start making their plans to go to the woods! 

At https://volunteer.fireflyartscollective.org/ click the "ticket sale page" link and the Request Refund button is at the top.

LNT starts before you leave home!

Please consider these LNT tips and tricks!

• Remove all packaging from items as you pack to minimize trash. 

• Tips: Styrofoam is a nightmare. Tupperware & bins will make your burn better!  

• Cooling drinks in the stream pollutes it! Tip: Support ice deliveries instead and stock your cooler daily! https://www.paypal.com/pools/c/8K4aQ4qqVc

• Trick: Strip and sanitize drinks prior to inserting.

• Plan your art projects and outfits with LNT in mind. 

• Tips: Loosely attached decorations like beads, sequins, feathers and glitter can come loose easy. Save these for city based events please.

• If you use permethrin, do it at home! Do not use this or any type of pesticides including 'foggers'/bug bombs in the woods!

• Plan a system for gray water containment and transportation off site. 

• Tip: Twist on gallon jugs are great with a filter and funnel system.

Work Weekend #3 

We had an even more successful and productive second Work Weekend, and are well positioned to be able to check off all the remaining things this upcoming *third* Work Weekend! 

If you have not signed up yet, follow the link to the Work Weekend Sign-up (and Waiver). 

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• Some of the larger camps may bring and begin to set up shade structures/infrastructure. Folks cannot leave behind any personal camping items at the end of the Work Weekend. Neither set up, nor under a tarp burrito - it all has to go back with you!

• Folks coming up to scout campsites - *Look UP* - notify work weekend coordinators if you see any widowmakers hanging over your campsite! We will do our best to bring them down safely, and if we can’t we will put caution tape around the area.

• Do not terraform your campsite! You may use a rake to clear branches and leaves, but you can’t turn your campsite into a construction project. If whatever you’re planning requires shovels and mattocks, you’re doing too much. Consider this your *CEASE & DESIST* notification. Seriously. Stop it.
