You can reserve shifts starting Monday, June 20th. http://fireflyartscollective.org/rangers/ If you are interested, or just have questions about being a Firefly Ranger: email: firefly-rangers@chaoshacker.org *********************************** Sleep? We Don't Need No Sleep! *********************************** Food will not be provided this year at Firefly, but we are creating a covered gathering place for people to meet, share, and eat. The coffee station will live here, and kind souls are needed to tend to the caffeine addictions of the masses. Defeat the Grog and SIGN UP for a morning or evening brewing shift at: http://fireflyartscollective.org/volunteer/ ****************************** Firefly Work Weekend 2 a Success! ****************************** Rainy conditions leading to muddy roads... There were 20+ people were willing to drive many hours, take a weekend out of their lives to do manual labor so ALL of us can have that much better of a time when the event rolls around in a few short weeks (Got yer tickets?!) In fact, had you been at the work weekend, you would have experienced a vibrant atmosphere bustling with people who just can't wait to give of themselves, to create. We: Built a beautiful stage to support the musicians, DJs, VJs and other performers... http://bostonburners.org/gallery/June-18-19-Work-Weekend/P1010018 Laid out and cleared trails to make them more clear and enjoyable to walk... Cleared some spaces for some of the bigger events some of you have planned... Surveyed and mapped the land to find spots where theme camps can offer their offerings and Art their Artings... Increased outhouse capacity by 50%... Last but not least, we checked the vibe, and it is in fact warm and fuzzy. The land is as much a Participant as all of us, a gracious host. Let's give mad props to all who helped this weekend. We can't wait to see what all of you bring to the event itself! Photos from the work weekends are here: http://bostonburners.org/gallery/2005 *********************************** Volunteers wanted for giving massage! *********************************** If you do massage, bodywork, energy work, or some other form of therapy for the mind/body/spirit, come by the Body Positive theme camp. Bring a massage table or mat, help decorate the space, commit to an hour or three of time there, show up with your own recipient - it's all good. If you're interested in participating (particularly if you intend to bring a table), please contact cee at ceelove@speakeasy.net
