SAVE THE DATES: 2015 ART GRANT TIMELINE FOR FIREFLIES ლ(╹◡╹ლ) ლ(╹◡╹ლ) ლ(╹◡╹ლ) It's that time of year again when we all start thinking about what kind of art we might want to bring to the woods of Vermont this July! Art is a central part of Firefly, and the event wouldn't be the same without the wonderful pieces that have been brought to Bethel over the years. Bringing art is a great way to add a piece of yourself to the event and contribute/participate in a meaningful way. Because the timeline will be a bit different this year, we wanted to give everyone a heads up before officially opening up applications. There are five types of grants this year: - Creativity Grants: basic grants awarded in $100, $300, $500, and $700 tiers, for projects coming to Firefly Arts Festival - Legacy Grant: small grants to assist returning projects to Firefly. - Burner Exchange Grant: Mid-range grants to help transport art from other burns to Firefly (timeline still TBD!). - Lace Grants: which are awarded to spectacular, larger projects that will appear at both Firefly Arts Festival. - Temple Grant: A grant to build the Temple at Firefly Arts Festival. Here is the basic timeline for 2015: January 10: Call for Art Grant Committee members January 15: Lace and Temple applications launch February 1: Creativity and Legacy Grant applications launch February 14: Lace and Temple applications due February 27: Lace and Temple Grants awarded February 28: Creativity and Legacy Grant applications due March 14: Creativity and Legacy Grants awarded We're excited to share more details soon - keep an eye on the Firefly website and this very email list!!
