For the third consecutive year, Firefly is participating in Somerville Open Studios! We’re looking to share the art created by our community with the city of Somerville in a gallery setting. We've got a sweet new location within spitting distance of the Davis Square T Stop, but we need YOUR help to make this event happen! *Why Participate?* - Somerville Open Studios supports the mission of Firefly Arts Collective “to foster a collaborative environment and community for participatory arts, encouraging people to express their creativity, and challenging them to extend their concept of both community and art”. - Be proud to be Firefly and share what we create individually and together. - Gain exposure and promote yourself as an artist (for free!). - Excellent testing ground for interactive / participatory art projects — whether your project is in progress, completed, or being fine tuned. - The annual open studios is the most accessible Firefly event for new Fireflies! Meet old and new Fireflies and participate in an active community. *How Can I Participate?* - Bring what you love and share it with others! - Volunteer to make this effort a reality. - Bring or perform your art — this is a great chance to share the other creative things you do year round, whether it’s been shared in the woods or not! - Spread the word!
