We want to take this opportunity to remind you that Firefly is run by volunteers! Firefly is YOUR event, and your participation is KEY to making it a success. There’s no better way to find out how you can participate than by meeting your fellow Fireflies at the Town Hall Meeting and asking how. 1) Reminder: Town Hall Meeting, Sunday, April 14

Come see your Firefly friends and make some new ones at the Firefly Town Hall!

Learn about Firefly, the different cores, and how to volunteer. There will be a buffet of light fare and a cash bar for beverage service.

When: Sunday April 14th, 3pm – 6pm
Where:  Mount Vernon Restaurants & Pub, 14 Broadway, Somerville, Massachusetts 02145

2) Volunteers Wanted

Firefly is in need of a few good participants to help make all parts of Firefly run smoothly.
Co-leads work with other co-leads and overall there is not a lot of work, just work that needs to be done! Any questions? Contact Volunteer Coordinator Abbie at abbie@fireflyartscollective.org or visit the Town Hall Meeting for more details.

Transport Core is looking for 2 – 3 Co-leads


Freight Truck Driver: Requires excellent driving record and can drive a 16 ft. rental truck.
Freight Lead for Bus Gear Truck: Requires attending Placement Work Weekend and Handling freight shares and payment.
Transport Event Co-Lead

Art Truck Core is looking for a Truck Driver Lead

Requires time flexibility on the last day of the event. There are multiple stops in and around the Boston area which can run late on Sunday.

Sanctuary Co-Lead Wanted

Coordinate training and training materials, set-up and tear-down the sanctuary tent at Firefly, and manage the Sanctuary shift schedule. Sanctuary or similar experience desired. You will also need to attend SFTY3rd May 10th – 12th.
